The Southeast Area (south of County Road F) of the Township is being considered for street improvements next year. A survey crew from TKDA will begin to gather topographic information. Painted markings or locate flags may also begin showing up around the neighborhood to mark underground utilities.
While most of the topographic data is needed is within the street, crews will also collect data for driveways, yards and garage corners. This information allows engineers to design a project that fits in best with the properties in the area.
Also, as a part of the data gathering process, soil borings will be performed. During this process augers are drilled into the soil to find out the composition of the soils in the area. The soil makeup helps determine the appropriate street design. American Engineering Testing, Inc. is the company which will perform this work late this fall.
