There are vacant spots the Township is hoping to fill on the Economic Development Advisory Board (EDAB) & the Utility Commission.
The EDAB is comprised of a volunteer group of private citizens and business people, appointed by the Town Board, who lend their management expertise to strengthen the business climate within the Township.
The EDAB is responsible for helping the EDA encourage growth of new business and industry and offering support to existing businesses. Its goal is to provide a balance of residential and business properties to enhance the tax base in White Bear Township, while being respectful of the Township's unique natural environment. Within White Bear Township more than 250 acres of land, zoned for light industrial and general business, are currently available for development. The board meets quarterly.
The Utility Commission advises the Town Board on matters pertaining to sewer and water service, refuse collection, disposal services, and storm water drainage. The commission consists of seven members appointed by the Town board in May, for three-year terms.
